# Our Leave Request Options
Under **Our Leave Request Options** you can create the leave request types that employees select from when creating a leave request.

To create a new leave request option, type in the leave type code, (this code identifies the leave type in your payroll software), the description, unit (some leave may be for a few hours of a day) and select which types of activities can be used when approving this type of leave. The default timesheet activity is the default activity out of the activities you have selected for this type of leave; while it defaults to this activity, it can be changed. Lastly, tick the relevant boxes for your organisation. These checkboxes are mostly to do with if the leave type is visible.
