# JAS Setup

Temp staff profiles are created and managed directly in JAS. Use the search bar at the top of the screen to find an existing temp staff member.

  The term "temp staff" covers all staff types — contracted, part-time, full-time, and temporary. The name comes from Simplifi's origins as StaffSync

  If a **Three Strikes** flag is displayed on a profile, this reliever has been terminated from three or more schools

## Profile Settings

| Setting                                                      | Description                                                                                         |
| :----------------------------------------------------------- | :-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **ID Number**                                                | Automatically assigned to the staff member. Read-only and cannot be changed.                        |
| **First Name**                                               | The staff member's first name.                                                                      |
| **Surname**                                                  | The staff member's last name.                                                                       |
| **Current Address**                                          | The staff member's current address.                                                                 |
| **Phone Number**                                             | The staff member's phone number.                                                                    |
| **Email Address**                                            | The staff member's primary email address.                                                           |
| **Alternative Email**                                        | An optional secondary email address.                                                                |
| **Profile Image**                                            | The staff member's profile photo.                                                                   |
| **Industries**                                               | The industries this staff member belongs to.                                                        |
| **Portals**                                                  | The portals this staff member can access.                                                           |
| **Work Radius**                                              | The geographic radius within which this staff member is available for work.                         |
| **Email Job Notifications**                                  | When enabled, the staff member receives job notifications by email.                                 |
| **User Does Not Receive Notifications**                      | When enabled, all notifications to this staff member are suppressed.                                |
| **Archived — No Longer Looking for Work**                    | Archives the staff member's profile. They will no longer appear in active searches or job matching. |
| **Disabled — No Longer Able to Login or Receive Job Offers** | Disables the account entirely. The staff member cannot log in or receive job offers.                |
| **Reset User's Password**                                    | Sends a password reset to the staff member.                                                         |
| **Clear User Availability**                                  | Clears all availability entries from the staff member's calendar.                                   |

## Registration Options

The **Questions** section lists all registration questions the staff member answered when signing up. This is most relevant for StaffSync deployments, where relievers complete registration questions such as their Ministry of Education number. Text answers are shown as entered; yes/no and multi-choice questions show the selected answer.

The **Selected Roles** section shows the roles the staff member registered under.

## Entities Registered With

This tab lists every organisation the temp staff member is registered with. You can filter by organisation-to-worker status, and selecting an organisation shows:

* The roles assigned to the staff member within that organisation
* Organisation-specific registration questions and their answers
* An audit trail for that organisation

A table in the bottom-right shows all organisations within the staff member's work radius.

## Job Notifications

A log of all job notifications that have been sent to this staff member.

## Support Call Log / Audit Trail

The **Support Call Log** records all support calls that have been logged against this staff member.

The **Audit Trail** records every setting change and action taken on the profile.

## Misc / Devices

Lists all devices currently registered to the staff member, along with their recent web sessions. See [Troubleshooting Devices](/manage-devices) for more.

## Jobs / Timesheets

Displays all timesheets and completed jobs for this staff member, including full job details and both job and timesheet audit trails.

## Merge

Use this screen to merge duplicate profiles where the same person has been set up twice within the same organisation.

  The profile you are currently viewing becomes the **master record** — it is kept and all data is retained. The profile selected in the table will have its data merged in and will then be deleted. Make sure the master record is the one with the most complete information before proceeding.
