# How to create a new timezone

To create a new timezone on Simplifi:

  <Step title="Navigate to File → Supervisor Options → Maintenance → Timezones" />

  <Step title="Press new & enter the timezone name">
    The timezone MUST be of a IANA type. You can find a list of IANA timezones here: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List\_of\_tz\_database\_time\_zones](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tz_database_time_zones)

Timezones apply to the server and can apply to individual organisations. To change the server's timezone, go to **System** → **Server Settings** and select the timezone you'd like to change it to.

For an individual organisation, go to **Organisation** → **Timezone** and select the timezone you'd like to change it to.
